It's a Great Day to Be a Rebel!

Do I even have to blog about the game? It was incredible. I had to work yesterday, so I found the game on the computer and listened and grinned. When I left work, I found the game on the radio and grinned some more.
When I got home, the boys had the game on and we watched the rest! It's a great day to be a Rebel!
I have several friends in Gainesville and they just couldn't believe I wanted the Rebs to win over our beloved Gators (sorry Robin). I went to Ole Miss, not UF, so of course I wanted Ole Miss to win! I wish I could've been at The Swamp for the game. It was a beautiful day here for football and looked to be the same in sunny FLA!
But, with the Gators losing and Bama killing GA (I do not like any teams with dawg mascots), Bama, I think, is sitting pretty in the #1 spot. Yikes! (sorry Miranda).
Auburn beat UT - always great to see UT fall.
LSU/MSU - :) love it!
On to other things - I love this weather - sunny, breezy, feels like Fall. I can't wait for October 1st so I can decorate for Halloween!
On the 18th, we celebrated Jake's 13th birthday. My little Pip is now a teenager. I have TWO teenagers in the house. Blessedly, they are really good kids and while I do get some eye rolls and loud sighs sometimes, they don't give me any trouble. I wonder how long that will last?
I will post pics of Jakie's birthday soon, since all of my pics are on my computer at work. We celebrated with the family on the 17th and with his friends on the 18th. What a great day for my pippy. I love you so much!!!
That's all I have time for as we need to scoot to church. Have a wonderful, church filled, football filled day!

What a Week!

I had a great week!

It started off with lunch with Whitney! I adore you, Whit! We went to Rafferty's where my burger was moo-ing. So, the food wasn't the best, but the company was wonderful.

Whit and I disagree on everything Big Brother, but that is okay. Go Dan!

I also had a thought. I know, one thought during the whole week. Whitney brought up Williamsburg at lunch. W'burg is one of my favorite places in the whole world. I could easily see myself dressed up in Colonial garb and making candles for a living.

So, I called Whitney and we have made a deal. If she is not married in six years, we will move to Williamsburg and work there and pretend to live in Colonial times. She will marry a printing press person and I will marry a blacksmith. The boys, of course, will either be at Hamden Sydney, William and Mary or UVA in order to be close.

I've always wanted my life to be a musical, and I can picture Whitney and I breaking into song and dance as we dip candles, churn butter or whatever. Whitney will sew us pretty dresses so we will be the prettiest girls there.

Moving on....

Ole Miss won, State lost. :)

The Jets lost! :)

Dolphins lost :(

Heather loves my blog!

Next....
If you love to listen to music on your computer to help you through the day. This little baby is wonderful! You can make your own stations with songs you love! I'm listening to my Def Leppard station right now!
I think that's it..... on to another week! Have a good one!

Top Ten List from Last Week

I'm trying to come up with clever titles for my Top Ten but it's too early to be creative.

Without further ado:

FOOTBALL - I love football! I grew up in football country, watching the Dolphins and the Hurricanes dominate. I was a cheerleader from 6th to 12th grade. I love the Gators and Ole Miss. So, we watched the UM/UF game on Saturday night and it was great. I miss being at games. UF killed UM. I have a hard time watching that game because I want them both to win :)

Ole Miss lost but at least we beat Memphis!

My ex-boyfriend Brett Favre debuted on Sunday with the Jets. I hate that they won. Of course, I hate it even more that they beat the Dolphins. A little tidbit - the QB for the Fins is the QB the Jets let go in order to get Brett. It would have been poetic justice if he could have pulled off a win.

The Packers pulled off a win last night. WITHOUT Brett! Go AARON!

The Delta Fair

Free admission and wristband tickets for the Delta Fair! I wouldn't have been able to swing it otherwise, but my co-worker's son was running the Fair and was very generous and gave us tickets. I paid $5.00 for parking. YES!

Cole losing his cell phone at the fair. Why is that Top Ten you ask? Well, in the one second before he told me, I just knew that he phone was gone. In that second, I decided that I was not going to get pissed off. It could have very easily been me losing my phone. I didn't want to ruin our day. So, we covered his tracks but still didn't find it.

Sunday morning, getting a call from the Memphis police. Someone turned in Cole's phone. :)

There were no international calls or text messages on his phone!!!

The beautiful fall-ish weather. It's still warm, but I can feel the weather changing. I love it!

A very cute wish on Friday night.

Drawing for Secret Pals - I can't wait to start it again! It is so much fun.

My children! We had an incredible week together and had so much fun.
