I don't know why I have such a hard time keeping up with this blog. Maybe I spend all of my time reading and commenting on others :)
What's been happening you ask?
1. I just blanked out on what to write. I have nothing witty to say. lol
2. Teaching Cole to drive has given me a full head of grey hair and permanent white knuckles. It is so hard to be in the passenger seat. He is VERY cautious but his turns are horrific and he hugs the right side of the road that I just know we will be in a ditch soon.
3. Cole hates me teaching him to drive. I know I do not help. He pulled over the other day and said he was done driving with me. LOL. Bless his heart.
4. Little does he know that when we drive to Wisconsin for Thanksgiving, he is driving most of the way - at least through all of Illinois until we hit Chicago.
5. Whenever Jake is with us for our driving lessons, he says, "Dear Lord, this is the day we are going to die. Please don't let it be painful." He says it every time. It used to be funny. lol
6. I'm swamped at work.
7. I need a massage and a pedicure.
8. I don't have the money for either. Things at work are scary. Donations are WAY down and I'm afraid of what that means for our chapter.
9. I am thankful for having a job right now. I know quite a few people who have been let go and can't find anything that are in their job fields - or anything other than fast food right now.
10. I'm still seeing Mike. I don't see him as much as I'd like. I really, really, like him. I just don't think he's as into me. I know he's into me, but maybe not as much as I'm into him. Sigh. When we see each other, we have an excellent time and he's still the best kisser ever, but it's been a year and things just haven't changed. He travels a lot for work, so I only get to see him two or three times a month for more than an hour. We try to get lunch as much as we can and then have weekend dates when he is home. I guess I'm in denial. I try to justify it by saying it's so much better than being alone, but I'm not sure that is the case. We are supposed to go out this weekend and we are planning on having a heart to heart. So, I may be a basketcase or I may be super happy the next time I blog. Please pray for me. I'm tired of being alone.
11. that was a downer, huh?
12. I need someone to watch the cat and dog over Thanksgiving. Any takers?
13. I have to get back to work.
14. I'll try to do better with blogging.
15. My secret pal at work got me the Wicked soundtrack and I haven't stopped listening to it since. Now all I need is the Glee soundtrack and I'm set.
16. happy thursday

Halloween Pics

Well, this year they were too old. So, they and their friends worked all day cutting garbage bags and taping them to the inside of the garage. They were so excited and had a ball scaring everyone. I'm telling you, I think they scared the adults more so than the kids. It was SO much fun and great family time with my boys. It goes by too quickly, that's for sure.

Movie Review
I finally got to see Paranormal Activity. I saw it yesterday with my coworker, TB, her husband and her 23 year old son. It's funny because her son doesn't like scary movies AT ALL but he said he'd go with us. I was looking forward to him screaming like a girl, but he didn't last but 15 minutes. At the first loud knock - he was outta there. LOL!
So, anyway, there was a lot of hype about this movie. I tried not to listen to any of it because I like to make my own mind up - imagine that!
I did watch the trailer and it scared me. So, I was hoping for being scared throughout the whole movie.
Really scared.
I loved this movie because it did scare me. It wasn't the "scariest movie I've ever seen". The original Halloween was the scariest movie and still is to me. A lot of people don't get it, but we all have those times when you were young and you couldn't sit through a movie, well Halloween was mine. It plays on my fear of the house being broken into.
Well, Paranormal Activity -plays on your fear of the dark and things that go bump in the night. have you ever woken up to the floor creaking or something falling - that is what this movie does - but it has that evil presence as well. That kind of thing scares the crap out of me.
I went during the day because I knew if I saw it at night, I would probably shake all the way home and never get to sleep (plus, I hate paying so much to go see a night time movie - I'm cheap like that). I think that this movie is one of those movies that is even better if you see it with the right crowd. There weren't a lot of people in the theatre when we went, so I didn't get to see people jump or hear them gasp or scream - I just heard myself!!!!
I do have to say that that the one negative was the camera work. It was very Blair Witch Project-y. When they were walking around with the camera, it was very jerky and it gave me a headache. So, if you get motion sickness, this isn't the movie for you.
All in all - if you like to be scared by things that go BUMP in the night - definitely give this a whirl.....
